Terms & Conditions

The rules for training with us. Short, because there is not much that needs saying.

Booking and online payment are not live yet. Sessions are currently arranged directly with Midge or Ivo. These terms describe how training works today and will be updated, with notice, when online booking opens.

1. Who these terms are with

Amsterdam Padel Academy, run by Midge Visser and Ivo Hoedt, coaching at Playershome Amsterdam. Contact: info@amsterdampadelacademy.nl.

Playershome is where we coach; it is a separate business and its own house rules apply on its premises.

2. Booking a session

A session is booked when we confirm it to you, by message or by email. Until then nothing is reserved. We will always tell you which coach you have and where to be.

3. Prices and what is included

Every price we quote includes the coach, the court and the balls. There is nothing to pay at the desk. Rackets are available if you do not have one.

What every session and pack costs, per coach, is on the prices page, and the same figures are what the checkout charges. The price shown to you when you book is the price you pay. We do not repeat those figures here, because a number written into this document is a number that can quietly stop being true.

The coached match runs 90 minutes and is priced per player; that price is not yet fixed, and we will quote it before you book. Prices can change, but never for a session or pack you have already paid for.

4. Packs

5. Changing or cancelling

Free up to 24 hours before your session. Move it, or cancel it, no questions and no cost.

Inside 24 hours the session counts as taken, because the court was booked and the coach kept the slot free. If we can fill it, you keep it.

If we have to cancel, for any reason on our side, you get the session back or your money back, whichever you prefer.

6. Weather, illness and no-shows

The courts at Playershome are indoors, so weather never cancels a session. If you are ill, tell us as early as you can and we will move it; we would rather you got better than turned up half-fit. Repeated late cancellations are handled by talking to you, not by a penalty schedule.

Not turning up counts the same as cancelling too late. The court was booked and the coach kept the slot free, so a confirmed session you miss without cancelling in time is owed in full — whether it was paid in advance or was to be settled with your coach.

7. What we expect on court

Clean indoor court shoes, sportswear, and turning up on time so the session starts when it should. Tell your coach about an injury, a limitation or anything else that matters before you start, not after.

8. Safety and liability

Padel is a sport and sport carries risk. You take part at your own risk and you are responsible for being fit enough to play. We coach with reasonable care and skill, and we are liable for damage caused by our own intent or gross negligence. Beyond that our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the session or pack concerned. Nothing here limits liability that Dutch law does not allow us to limit, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

We recommend your own health and liability insurance. We are not responsible for personal belongings left at the venue.

9. Photos and video

We sometimes film a session or take photos, because seeing your own swing is the fastest way to fix it. That footage is yours and ours to use only for coaching, unless you give us explicit permission in writing to use it publicly. You can withdraw that permission at any time and we will take it down.

10. Complaints and applicable law

If a session was not what it should have been, tell your coach or email info@amsterdampadelacademy.nl. We would much rather fix it than have you quietly stop coming.

Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam, after we have genuinely tried to sort it out between us.
